Dear JC1 students

To minimize the potential risk of Influenza A H1N1 infection, the school has decided to postpone the JC1 Sabbaticals (7-8 July, Wed-Thu) to a later date in Oct.

As the JC2 Block Tests will still be on, we face an acute shortage of rooms to run the JC1 timetable. To overcome this constraint, we have decided to implement our home-based E-learning modules for all JC1 students.

Your teachers will be giving you further instructions. Please note the following points:

1. All JC1 students will gain access to the learning materials from home via the Internet. You are strongly advised to stay home and follow the online lessons.

2. Lessons will follow your regular time-table according to the respective time slots. This is to facilitate real-time forum discussions by subject tutors, and that you complete your work assignment on time. Your respective subject tutors will inform you on the details of the lessons by end of the week.

3. Students are expected to produce all the assigments, and you will have access to the materials in Hwa Chong's Intelligent School Portal (ISP). Students with no access to computers or the Internet may use the Computer Lab E306 (8 am to 5 pm). Alternatively, you may loan out lap-tops from the school, subject to availability. Please see our IT technical officers for advice.
